Race Details
Glen Summit Springs Water is pleased to once again sponsor the Harvey's Lake Run. This year's event will include the traditional 8.2 mile lake run as well as a 5k run and free CrossFit Kids for all registered athletes! And, new this year will be electronic chip timing to insure fast and accurate results.
Events will begin with on-site registration at 7:30am Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Grotto's Pizza. The Lake Run will begin at 9:10am and the 5K at 9:00am. Some parking is available at Grotto Pizza: however, there a limited number of spaces. Please plan to car pool and DO NOT BLOCK RESIDENTIAL STRETS OR DRIVEWAYS!
Awards
We will have ten year age group medals and awards for overall male and female winners. Long-sleeve sweat shirts will be awarded to the first 300 Lake runners and t-shirts will be awarded to the first 100 5k runners registered. There will be three aid stations and light snacks and refreshments following the race. Walkers are welcome; however there is a 2.5 hour time limit to finish the race. Awards begin sharply at 11:00am in the Grotto's parking lot.
Proceeds from the Gen Summit Spring Water Harvey's Lake Run go to benefit foster care and adoption.

CrossFit Kids is a chance for you to bring your child (ages 5 – 14) to the race and have them participate in exciting and focused athletic activities while you race! Simply fill out the proper forms and leave your child with our trained, certified and licensed experts who will take care of your kids during the race. Children will participate in running, climbing and calisthenics. They will receive a nutritious snack and take home information. Chances are they may have a tougher work-out then you! And it is all free, courtesy of Wilkes Barre Racing and the Logos Fund. Dedicated to creating a heritage of health and fitness for the entire family.
